Chornobil Honored as America East Swimmer of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass -- Junior swimmer Yuri Chornobil (Rochester, N.Y.) has been named this week's America East Male Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. This is Chornobil's second Swimmer of the Week award as he was also honored on Oct. 25.
Chornobil picked up a pair of wins for the Black Bears over the weekend at the URI Invitational. The junior swept the distance events at the Invitational as he won the 500 yard freestyle in 4:53.75 and also touched the wall first in the 1000 yard freestyle at 10:05.13.
The Black Bears return to action when they host Bates College at Wallace Pool on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m.
