Women's Soccer Falls to New Hampshire in Season Finale

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of Maine women's soccer team dropped the season finale 2-0 at New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Maine sees its season come to an end. The Black Bears finish the campaign with a record of 5-9-1, 2-6-0 in America East play.
New Hampshire got on the scoreboard at 11:35 when Brooke Duchaney beat Maine keeper Meagan Price-Leibenzeder (Surrey, British Columbia) for her fourth goal of the season. Ali Rozelle crossed the ball to Duchaney in the box, who dove and found the right side of the goal.
New Hampshire added to its lead at 20:06 when Stephanie Gilkenson notched her third goal of the season after receiving a pass from Chelsea Kuss. She was able to shoot the ball into the left side of the net.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net the remaining 69:54 and New Hampshire earned the 2-0 victory.
New Hampshire, who improves to 5-11-2 on the season and 3-4-1 in conference play, outshot Maine 13-5 in the game.
Price-Leibenzeder made five saves in goal for the Black Bears and falls to 5-9-1 on the season. Erica Correa stopped a pair of shots for the Wildcats.
Rookie Camille Varin-Tremblay (St. Hubert, Quebec) led the Black Bears with a pair of shots.
