Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Decision to Boston University

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Boston University on a rainy Sunday afternoon in Orono, Maine. The Black Bears fall to 3-5-1 on the season and 0-2-0 in America East play, while Boston University improves to 10-2-1, 3-0-0. The game was a rematch of the 2010 America East Championship game.
The two teams battled to a scoreless first half, with the Terriers holding a 3-2 lead in shot. BU opened the scoring just over 10 minutes into the second half when Tiya Gallegos scored off the rebound of a restart.
BU extended its lead to 2-0 at 59:42 when Taylor Krebs beat Maine keeper Meagan Price-Leibenzeder (Surrey, British Columbia) with a shot off a rebound.
The Terriers held the 2-0 lead until Maine pulled to within a goal when Maddie Hill (Brampton, Ontario) beat Boston University keeper Kelly King. For Hill, it was her second goal of the season.
Price-Leibenzeder made seven saves in the game for the Black Bears. She falls to 3-5-1 on the season. King stopped a pair of shots for the Terriers.
