Cross Country Sweeps New Hampshire

ORONO, Maine--The University of Maine men's and women's cross country teams swept New Hampshire on Friday afternoon on the campus of the University of Maine. David Currier (Sidney, Maine) won the men's 8K race while Corey Conner (Townsend, Mass.) won the women's 5K race.
Currier won the race in a time of 25:25, followed closely by Jason Kaake (Phippsburg, Maine) in second place one second back and Spencer McElwain (Caribou, Maine) in third with a time of 25:39.
Conner took top honors with a time of 17:31. She was followed in second by Allison Conner (Townsend, Mass.) with a time of 18:15 and Jennifer Lucy (Bangor, Maine) in third with a time of 18:22.
The men won 17-43 while the women won 18-42.
The teams return to action next Saturday when they host Holy Cross at 10 a.m.
