ORONO, Maine-- The University of Maine football team hosts No. 8 William and Mary on Saturday at 6 p.m. The game marks the opening of the CAA schedule for the Black Bears. It is Friends and Family Weekend, and former Black Bear Marcus Williams will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

STORYLINES
The University of Maine football team (1-2, 0-0 CAA) hosts William and Mary (2-1, 0-1 CAA) in the Black Bears' first CAA game of the season.
Maine is coming off a 38-14 loss at FBS foe Syracuse.
QB Warren Smith ran for a touchdown and threw for another while FB Jared Turcotte notched 92 all-purpose yards.
The Black Bears had two solid kickoff returns, with Desmond Randall taking the opening kick 56 yards and Roosevelt Boone notching a 34-yard return.
William and Mary is coming off a 21-17 win over Old Dominion.
RB Jonathan Grimes rushed for 124 yards and a score while QB Mike Callahan threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
Turcotte is just 85 yards shy of 1,000 yards rushing for his career.
Saturday's game will mark the first time the two teams have met since Oct. 13, 2007.
The last time Maine played William and Mary in its CAA opener, the Black Bears were able to come out victorious with a 20-17 win in Williamsburg.
It is Maine's first CAA opener that will be played at Alfond Stadium since the 2005 season.
The game is Friends and Family Weekend, as well as the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will include former RB Marcus Williams, who hold the school record for rush yards (3,940) and helped lead the Black Bears to back-to-back Atlantic-10 championships in 2001 and 2002.
