Brian Landry Graduates from the U.S. Army scuba school

ORONO, Maine – Brian Landry is set to
graduate from the U.S. Army scuba school today, July 1st. The
sophomore swimmer is one of a select few ROTC cadets to attend the
specialized school. The scuba school is usually reserved for
special operations forces and underwater explosive and ordnance
disposal units.
"Brian is a true leader and has represented UMaine impressively
these past 6 weeks," said head coach Susan Lizzotte. "We are proud
of his accomplishments and are excited to have him back for 2 more
years."
"Brian has a tremendous worth ethic. He is extremely focused and dedicated and we are very proud that his hard work is paying off," said assistant coach Brad Smith.
Landry is entering his third season with the Black Bears and got off to a good start last year winning the 100 Breast at Boston U. with a time of 1:01.31. He also was a member of the 400 Free Relay winning team and was named the Black Bear Male Student-Athlete of the Week for October 19-25.
