Women's Ice Hockey to Host Texas Hold'Em Tournament, Wing Night

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's ice hockey team will be hosting a pair of fundraising events in the next few weeks. An all-you-can-eat wing night will take place at Acme Pizza on April 1st from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The Black Bears will then host a Texas Hold `Em poker tournament on Thursday, April 15th at 5 p.m. in Alfond Arena.
The tournament and wing night proceeds will benefit the University of Maine women's ice hockey team with the grand prize for winning the tournament being a trip for two to Las Vegas including airfare and two nights stay in Las Vegas.
The wing night will take place at Acme Pizza, located at 295 Main Street in Old Town, and is just $10 for all-you-can-eat wings. There will be a raffle and a wing eating contest taking part that night. To get your tickets contact assistant coach Karine Senecal or any of the team members.
The Texas Hold 'Em tournament entrance fee is $50 per person, $40 for students with a valid school ID. The tournament is sponsored by Texas Roadhouse and will also include a free buffet from Acme Pizza. Great prizes will be handed out to the top five finalists.
The tournament format will be a 10, 10-player table set up. The women's ice hockey team encourages you to sign up as soon as possible as space is limited to 100 players.
