Ashleigh Roberts Named America East Rookie of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - For the second week in a row the America East named a Maine Black Bear Rookie of the Week. Ashleigh Roberts (Wilmington, Del./Concord) was the fourth such selection of the season after she recorded a pair of solid outings last week.
Roberts opened the week with eight points, six rebounds, five assists and one steal at Kansas. The freshman guard followed that game with nine points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals at Holy Cross. Roberts finished the week averaging 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals a game.
Roberts is currently fifth on the team with 6.9 points a game and is second on the team with 3.1 assists per game.
The Black Bears return to action this weekend when they will face Penn and Penn State.
