STATE COLLEGE, Pa.--The University of Maine men's basketball team looks for its fourth-straight win as the Black Bears travel to take on Big Ten foe Penn State at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Ron Lisnet will have all the action on the Black Bear Sports Network.
Storylines
The University of Maine men's basketball team (5-5) travels to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions (7-3) at the Bryce Jordan Center in search of the Black Bears' fourth-straight win.
Maine is coming off a 78-57 win over Colgate.
Junior guard Gerald McLemore led the Black Bears with 15 points and five rebounds while Terrance Mitchell added 14 points.
Freshman forward Alasdair Fraser added 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks en route to being named the America East Rookie of the Week.
Penn State last played on Dec. 12, a 79-69 loss at Virginia Tech.
Talor Battle had a game-high 26 points to lead the Nittany Lions.
Maine's McLemore is just two three-pointers shy of 200 for his career.
McLemore and Sean McNally are on track to break the 1,000 career point barrier this season, with McLemore currently at 900 points and McNally at 796.
McNally is also trying to become just the fifth player in Maine history with 1,000 career points and 700 career rebounds as he currently has 616 rebounds.
Maine is 3-0 this season when McLemore and Mitchell each score in double-figures.
The Black Bears have outrebounded their last four opponents and gone 3-1 in that stretch.
