Steven Barker Invited to FCS Senior Scout Bowl

ORONO, Maine-University of Maine senior defensive back Steven Barker has been invited to play in the FCS Senior Scout Bowl.
Barker, from Teaneck, N.J., was an All-CAA performer last season after ranking third in the league in passes defended. He currently ranks sixth on the Black Bears with 34 tackles and is second with four pass breakups. Barker is third in the CAA in kick return average with 25.1 yards per return. He was named a 2010 Preseason All-American Honorable Mention by Consensus Draft Services.
The Senior Scout Bowl selects 90 of the top FCS seniors in the country to participate in a North vs. South game format on Dec. 11, in Ramapo, N.Y.
Barker's invitation marks the fifth-consecutive season that at least one Black Bear has been invited to an All-Star game.
