GAME STORYLINES
TOWSON, Md.-- The University of Maine football team travels to take on Towson on Saturday at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the Black Bear Sports Radio Network with Rich Kimball and Bob Lucy covering all the action.
The University of Maine football team (3-6, 2-4 CAA) travels to take on Towson (1-8, 0-6) in the Black Bears' final road contest of the season.
Maine is coming off a tough 39-24 loss at No. 15 UMass.
Maine was led by RB Pushaun Brown rushed 22 times for 141 yards and a score while LB Donte Dennis made 17 tackles, including the 200th of his career.
Dennis is on track to become the first Black Bear to lead the team in tackles in back-to-back seasons since current New England Patriot Brandon McGowan did so in 2003-04.
Towson is coming off a 48-0 loss at No. 2 Delaware.
The Tigers were led by Yaky Ibia and Donte Blakely who each had 2.0 TFLs.
Maine is playing at Towson for the first time since 2006.
Maine's Brown is 91 yards shy of 1,000 for his career, and would be the second Black Bears this season to go over 1,000 career yards (Jared Turcotte being the other).
Maine WR Tyrell Jones is 90 receiving yards away from breaking into the top-15 on the Black Bear all-time receiving yards list.
The Black Bears currently lead the CAA and are 14th in the country, giving up only nine sacks thus far on the season.
Based on games played, Maine has the fifth most-difficult schedule in the FCS according to the NCAA.
