Terrel Walker Named CAA Rookie of the Week

ORONO, Maine--University of Maine football freshman running back Terrel Walker has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week for his performance on Saturday in the Black Bears' 28-23 win at Rhode Island.

Walker, from Taunton, Mass., rushed four times for 99 yards, including an 86-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that put Maine up 21-10. It is Maine's longest play from scrimmage this season as well as the longest rush in the CAA this season.

Maine returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 6, when the Black Bears travel to Massachusetts for a 3:30 p.m. game.
