University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Vicki Tolton Brown still held six University of Maine records when selected for the Hall of Fame, three indoors, three outdoors, four individual, two in relays. She ran a fifth year outdoors after redshirting in the spring of her freshman year with an achilles injury. Highlighting that fifth year, at the 2010 America East outdoor meet, she was named the most outstanding female athlete, winning six 400-meter heats — the 400, 400 hurdles and 4x400 relay — two each day about an hour apart. After Maine, she was with the Canadian national team during 2010-12 until re-injuring her achilles. She has returned to her native British Columbia where she is a nurse.
