University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Thurlow Cooper earned varsity letters as a center in basketball, a tight end in football and a high jumper in track at the University of Maine. For 20 years he held the State AAU record in the high jump at 6' 4". Following his junior year at Maine he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. He played professionally for the Cleveland Browns, the Vancouver Lions, the New York Giants, the Montreal Alouettes and the Portland Seahawks.
