Rick Bernardo was an All-American first baseman for the University of Maine. He played for three College World Series teams, is co-holder of the record for extra base hits in a season at 39 and holds the record for slugging percentage in a season at .821. He had 32 home runs and 157 RBI's in his career. Following graduation he was drafted in the 12th round by the Texas Rangers and also played professionally in Taiwan.
