Mark Plummer led the Black Bears to a Yankee Conference Championship in 1974 in golf. Mark won individual Maine State Championships in 1973 and 1974 and served as captain of the golf team in those same years. Following his career at Maine enjoyed possibly the most celebrated amateur career of any Maine golfer. At the time of induction, the Hallowell native had won seven Maine Amateur titles and nine Paul Bunyan Championships. In addition, Plummer garnered the New England Championship in 1979. Mark also finished in the U.S. Amateur's final 64 in 1982 and 1983.
