Lynn Hearty held five University of Maine pitching records at the time of induction. She held Maine records for wins in a season at 18, wins in a career at 41, strikeouts in a season at 152 and strikeouts in a career at 318. She had also pitched more innings in her career than any other Miane hurler at the time of her induction. She served as team captain in 1986 and 1987. In 1987, Hearty received All-New England, NCAA Northeast All-America and ECAC All Tournament Team honors. She helped lead Maine to ECAC titles in 1985 and 1987. She returned to Maine as an assistant coach from 1990-94 and 2008.
