Moody, captain of the 1998-1999 track and field teams, earned nine varsity letters. In indoor track, Moody won the 500-meter dash at the America East Championships in 1996 and 1997. He was also the New England Champion in the 500-meter indoor school record five different times. Including a best of 1:02.75. Moody set the 500-meter indoor record five different times, including a best of 1:02.72. In outdoor track, Moody capped his career by participating in the 1999 NCAA Championship. He won the 800-meters at the 1998 and 1999 New England Championships and was the 1999 America East champion as well. Upon graduation he held school records in the 800-meters and the 400-meter dash. Moody also excelled in the classroom, earning the M Club Dean Smith Award as the top male student-athlete in 1999.
