University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Rabbit Dombkowski was a three time All-State choice in football while earning letters in 1947, 1948 and 1949. He was also named to the All-East Associate Press and Little All-American squads. He led the University of Maine to its first State Series title in 13 years in 1947, while winning the State Series scoring and yards gained titles. He scored 71 of the team's 144 points. He served in the Army and later won several medals in events such as raquetball, track and biking in the 1989 state senior games.
