University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Harold Woodbury captained both the baseball and basketball team. His baseball skills garnered him a tryout with the Boston Red Sox and the U.S. Olympic team. During his 41 year tenure at the University of Maine he served as an athletic trainer, a teacher, student advisor, intramural director and director of physical education. He coached the varsity basketball team from 1955-58 and also guided several freshmen teams. He also served as president of Maine Association of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. In 1982 he received the block M award.
