Gary Conn was a First Team All-American hockey player in 1981. He holds individual records for goals in a game, points in a game and hat tricks (4 in 1978-79). He received All-New England Team honors in 1978-79 and 1980-81. He was the leading scorer for the Black Bears in each of his four seasons at Maine. Conn was an instrumental player in Maine's rise from Division II to Division I as an All-ECAC selection in both divisions.
