University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Elizabeth Coffin was the University of Maine's leading rebounder and second leading scorer in basketball at the time of induction. She is one of five former women's basketball players to have her number retired. Coffin was Seaboard Conference Rookie of the Year in 1985, America East First Team All-Conference in 1985-86, 1986-87 and 1988-89, as well as America East Player of the Year as a senior. She was a second team All-American as a junior and senior and All-New England three years. In four years at Maine her teams never had fewer than 21 wins and compiled a record of 90-26. She played professionally in Europe after graduation.
