Brad Colton played baseball at Maine from 1980-`93. The Black Bears earned a spot in the NCAA Regionals each of his four years and he played on three College World Series teams. Colton batted .315 of higher in three of his four season with the Black Bears, including .438 in 1981 which ranks as the fourth highest single season batting average in Maine History. Colton was named a Third Team All-American in 1981. He was named the NCAA Regional MVP in 1983 and also earned a spot on the 1983 NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team. He was drafted in the June 1982 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners.
