University of Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Bert Pratt was a varsity letterwinner and captain of both the tennis and basketball teams at the University of Maien. He led the tennis team to a New England Championship in 1941 and captained the team in 1943. In basketball he was one of the top scorers of his time and captained the 1942-43 squad. He went on to serve as Assistant Director of Admissions for 20 years at the University of Maine and was president of the M Club for five terms. He has received numerous awards for his service to the university community.Â
