Bert Roberge was an All-American pitcher on the University of Maine's 1976 College World Series team. Roberge was a two-time All-Yankee Conference selection in 1974 and 1975. He led the Black Bears with a 9-2 record and 2.06 ERA in 1976. At the time of induction, his 21 career victories ranked fifth on the all-time list and his career ERA of 1.82 was at the top of the list. Following his collegiate career, Roberge was drafted by the Houston Astros. He spent three seasons with Houston, one season with the Chicago White Sox and two with Montreal.
