Howatt '10 held eight school records at the time of her graduation and currently appears 15 times on Maine's top-10 lists for competing in both individual sprint events and on some of Maine's all-time great relay teams. In 2008, Howatt was named the outstanding track performer at the America East outdoor championships after winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes while serving on Maine's winning 4x400-meter relay team. That summer, she competed at the Canadian Olympic trials.
