Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex

Opened in 2023, the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex serves as the home of Maine Softball and stands as one of the premier softball facilities in the Northeast. The complex includes the Kathryn E. Slott Batting Pavilion, providing student-athletes with dedicated year-round training opportunities while supporting conference, regional and community events throughout the year. The state-of-the-art complex was designed to provide student-athletes with a championship-caliber environment while supporting conference, regional and community events throughout the year. The facility was named in October 2024 in honor of Pierre "Pete" and Catherine Labat following their transformational estate gift to Maine Athletics.

Located adjacent to the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex, the Kathryn E. Slott Batting Pavilion provides Maine Softball student-athletes with a dedicated indoor training environment for year-round skill development. The two-lane facility allows hitters and pitchers to train regardless of weather conditions, supporting player development throughout the academic year. The pavilion was made possible in part through the generosity of longtime Maine Athletics supporter and University of Maine faculty member Kathryn E. Slott.
