LEXINGTON, Ky. -- University of Maine junior Rachel Bergeron placed 31st in the hammer throw at the 2017 NCAA East Regional, held on Thursday, May 25 at the University of Kentucky's Outdoor Track & Field Complex.

Bergeron's throw of 54.67m (179-4) placed her 31st out of a field of 48 competitors. The Waterville, Maine native was the only America East competitor to compete in the hammer event at the East Regional meet.
