ORONO, Maine - On Wednesday morning, the Hockey East announced the first round of yearly awards, with

Brooke Stacey named as the runner up for the Best Defensive Forward award.
Tereza Vanisova (Strakonice, Czech Republic) was one of the top-scoring Freshman in Hockey East this season, as she finishes with a team-high 28 points (tied with Stacey) leading the team in goals with 16. The next round of awards, including Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, and All-Conference First/Second teams will be announced Friday evening at the Hockey East Banquet.
