Football Travels to Take on Defending CAA Champion Towson on Saturday

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team travels to take on the defending CAA Champion Towson University on Saturday at 7 p.m. Fans can catch all action on the Black Bear Sports Network or worldwide on GoBlackBears.com. Game Storylines

The University of Maine football team (2-3, 1-1) plays its second conference road game of the season and second of three-straight top-17 opponents at defending CAA Champion Towson (2-3, 1-1).
Maine is coming off a 26-3 win at #15 Delaware.
Maine DE Michael Cole had five of Maine's nine sacks while RB David Hood came back from an injury to rush for 103 yards and WR Damarr Aultman caught three passes for 81 yards and two scores.
The Tigers are coming off a close, last-minute 13-10 loss to James Madison.
Towson RB Terrance West, the reigning National Freshman of the Year, rushed for 112 yards to lead the Tigers.
Last year in Orono, the Tigers won in a shootout that went a long way towards deciding the CAA Champion, 40-30.
Hood rushed for 85 yards in the game while Aultman caught eight passes for 117 yards and a score; LB Troy Russell notched 11 tackles in the game.
A Maine win would be its second-straight road win to open conference play, and be the third time in four seasons that Maine has won its first two CAA road games.
Cole was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, Sports Network National Defensive Player of the Week and Gold Helmet Award winner.
