Football Heads Down to Battle Delaware Live on Comcast

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team heads to Delaware for a game to be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet New England on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Storylines

    The University of Maine football team (1-3, 0-1) plays its first conference road game of the season at Delaware (4-1, 1-1).
     Maine is coming off a 35-14 loss to Villanova.
     Maine QB Marcus Wasilewski passed for a career-high 409 yards (first UM QB with 400 yards passing since Chris Treister vs. URI in 2009) while WR Arthur Williams caught three passes for 104 yards and a score and; WR Maurice McDonald made 10 catches for 93 yards and now has 1,086 career receiving yards on 105 catches.
    Maine DB Kendall James had a game-high 10 tackles and broke up two passes.
    McDonald is aiming for his third-consecutive double-digit catch game.
     The Blue Hens are coming off a 34-14 loss to New Hampshire.
    RB Andrew Pierce rushed for 82 yards against the Wilscats and leads the team while ranking third in the CAA with 476 yards in five games (95.2 ypg).
    Last season in Orono, Maine scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to win 31-17; TE Justin Perillo made four catches for 62 yards while WR Damarr Aultman had three catches for 49 yards and a score with DB Darlos James notching five tackles and an interception.
    Maine is looking for its third win in its last four CAA road-opening games and its second win in three games at Delaware Stadium.
