ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football coaching staff, in conjunction with the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, will conduct its second annual FREE Youth and High School Coaching Clinic on Thursday, June 9, at the Mahaney Dome on the campus of the University of Maine.
Registration is at 5 p.m. with the clinic beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The emphasis of the clinic will be on the fundamentals/techniques and drill work needed to develop positional skills for offensive positions (offensive line, running backs, quarterbacks and receivers) and defensive positions (defensive line, linebackers and defensive backs). This clinic is specifically geared toward the growth and development of youth and freshman level football coaches. Time can, and will, be spent on specific requests!
There will be two simultaneous presentations by members of the Black Bear coaching staff of 50 minutes each, one on offense and one on defense.
5 - 5:30 p.m. Registration and Welcome (Coach Cosgrove)
5:30 - 6:20 p.m. Fundamentals, Technique and Drill Work to Develop:
Station A: Offensive Linemen (Frank Giufre/Shawn Demaray)
Station B: Defensive Backs (Steve Vashel/Joe Harasymiak)
6:30 - 7:20 p.m. Station A: Defensive Line (Dennis Dottin-Carter/Jordan Stevens)
Station B: Running Backs (Steve Boyle)
7:30 - 8:20 p.m. Station A: Quarterbacks/Wide Receivers (Kevin Bourgoin/Kevin Cahill)
Station B: Linebackers (Joe Rossi)
