WAKEFIELD, Mass. — The Hockey East Association announced Monday that University of Maine men's ice hockey freshman
Eduards Tralmaks has been named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week after he recorded two goals and one assist in Saturday's game at UMass Lowell.
Tralmaks opened up the scoring during UMaine's 6-2 win, putting home a pass from
Chase Pearson for his first goal of the game during the first period. The Riga, Latvia native then notched his second goal of the game midway through the middle frame before assisting on
Mitchell Fossier's power-play tally in the third period.
The forward leads the team in goals (5) and is tied for the lead in points (7) with Fossier and Pearson.
UMaine was tabbed for Hockey East Rookie of the Week two times last season, with Fossier garnering both honors (Oct. 10 and 17).
The Black Bears will have a week off before playing a two-game Hockey East set with Boston University. The Black Bears and Terriers will face off at Alfond Arena on Nov. 17 before heading to Portland on Nov. 18 for a battle at Cross Insurance Arena.
